Travel info - How to reach Antwerp

> By train

Antwerp is easily reached via train from large European cities like Amsterdam, London or Paris.
On Eurostar or Thalys (High Speed Trains), Antwerp is only 2hr 10 min away from Amsterdam and Paris, and there are more than ten trains per day leaving to and from these destinations. From London, via the Channel, and with one change in Brussels, count on a 4-hours trip. Brussels is located 50 minutes by train from Antwerp’s central station. From here you can find high-speed trains to any major destination in Europe.

Please note: Thalys and Eurostar trains stop at Berchem (3 km South of Antwerp). Transfers toward Antwerp’s central station are guaranteed every 10 minutes.

> By plane

It is easiest to reach Antwerp by plane if you land at the Brussels-Zaventem International Airport, only 50 kms away from Antwerp. Here you can find all the facilities of an important European airport, and convenient means of transportation toward Antwerp. Via bus, train, or taxi, Antwerp is only 50 minutes away.

Antwerp also has its own airport, Deurne, which is located at 6 km from downtown. You can fly in here from Amsterdam, Bristol, Bremen, Dublin, Geneva, Jersey, London, Luxemburg and Rotterdam.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport

If you fly with Ryanair, you will arrive at the airport of Charleroi, known as 'Brussels South Airport', located at 46 km south of Brussels. Upon arrival you can buy a ‘bulk’ ticket for €10,50 at the Ryanair desk. This ticket covers the bus rides by public bus (line A) from the airport to the Charleroi-South train station, plus the train ride from there to any railway station in Belgium. There is a direct train link Charleroi-Antwerp, which takes approximately 1,5 hour. You can find more information at:
